This is an ever-fascinating photo. First you have the complements of water, both soft and racing, then calm and clear. You have a beautiful contrast of light. In the distance is a beautiful and water glow, light thriving on the other side of the water. As you follow the falls and round slightly, you come to the damp cooler area, where all this could be appreciated. like most their works, this beautiful and captivating photo seem more like a fantastical peace of traditional art. Once again the artist has captured the more magical side of photography and its greatest qualities!
Absolutely beautiful picture! Yes, it lacks a bit of creativity, but the technicalities- dynamic lighting, angle, and clearness of the shot makes up for it. The contrasting lines in this photo is what really makes it unique, as the overall downwards effect of the water pouring over the edge is balanced by the sharp angle of the corner, and the water rushing past closer to the viewer. I love the way effect the water has- did you leave the shutter open for longer? And lastly, it is a picture of contrasts; through the lines, the light, and the water. Thank you for sharing such an amazing work of art, I hope I can see more of your work!
I don't think this counts as a critique, but in the future, you may want to shift your focal point out of the center, and into a 1/3 ratio location. Right now the places where the waters converge form lines. These lines are all conecting dead center, and because of that distraction, you loose the overall feel of the image as a captivating piece. There is no where for the eye to go naturally except the dead center, consequently, the mind looses intrest. It appears to be a lovely scene, but you have to fight with the flow of the lines to find it.
